A Spiritual Battle

The Lie by L.R. Clarke is the second book in The Seekers series but can be read as a stand-alone. It is a YA Christian novel that I really enjoyed even though I am considerably older. The novel is an adventure. There is a mystery to solve and a life to save.

L.R. Clarke shows through her imaginative plotline that life is a spiritual battle against the forces of darkness. There is much more out there than we can see, feel and hear. We need to stay closely connected to God and make sure that His is the voice that we listen to. “Just because the Way is narrow, you do not need to fear.” Faith is the opposite of fear. If we have faith in God, we need never fear as He is always with us.

We need to remember to pray. Prayer is the most powerful thing we can do. We need to fight all our battles on our knees. “She did the only thing she could do… She continued to pray.”
