In this book we learn the true meaning of Advent and Charlie learns what it means to be a true friend.

The reader witnesses Charlie’s heart growing as she looks out for others. Where Charlie sees a need she tries to meet it. Just as Jesus tells us, Charlie gives gifts anonymously not looking for any glory.

Christmas is a time for giving gifts. Charlie realizes that the value of a gift is not in monetary terms, sometimes it is giving a gift of time.

The reader learns that all life is sacred. ‘Normal’ looks very different for us all.

Once again Charlie has a mystery to solve with her best friend Harold.

Charlie learns not to judge by outward appearance. It is the state of the heart that is most important.

I am loving these books about Charlie. They have lessons to be learnt as well as revealing the heart of God. Read them to your children and discuss the content or let more confident readers read themselves. They are books to be kept and savored.
