A Husband For Holly by Marion Ueckermann

Taking A Chance

A Husband For Holly by Marion Ueckermann is a delightful Christian romance. It is the fourth book in the Seven Suitors For Seven Sisters series but can be read as a stand-alone.

This is a perfectly wonderful read as all Marion Ueckermann’s books are. The setting is the Yorkshire moors just before Christmas and with the backdrop of snow. It is just a perfect setting for a perfect romantic read.

God is over the whole novel. There is the theme of trusting Him. Holly has loved and lost. Christopher has loved and lost. Both are cautious about trusting others. Neither want to be hurt again but they both need to trust God. “He’d have to do what he should have done in the first place – trust God.” Putting our uncertain futures into the hands of God is always a wise thing to do.

A Romance For Rose by Marion Ueckermann

A Real Gem

A Romance For Rose by Marion Ueckermann is the most delightful contemporary romance. It is the second book in the Seven Suitors For Seven Sisters series but can be read as a stand-alone.

It is a wonderful warm wrap around story that will leave you with a smile on your face and speak to your heart. The settings are lavishly described and as the reader moves from London to Tuscany it feels more like ‘walking’ through the novel than reading it.

Marion Ueckermann’s characters are well rounded and likable. It was good to meet up with familiar faces. The story is written in the third person from the alternating viewpoints of Joseph and Rose. The reader becomes intimately acquainted with both.

A Hero For Heather by Marion Ueckermann

The Prodigal Son

A Hero For Heather by Marion Ueckermann is a wonderful contemporary Christian romance. It is the third book in the Seven Suitors For Seven Sisters series but can be read as a stand-alone. A Hero For Heather is a modern day telling of the Prodigal Son blended with the Good Samaritan and I loved it.

A major theme in the novel is that of forgiveness. There are times when we need to forgive others and times when we need to accept forgiveness.

There is also the overwhelming sense of love over the whole novel. Love takes many forms – parental, sibling, friendship, romantic – love when mixed with kindness really is powerful. “Random acts of kindness can go a long way.” We love because “Christ’s love compels us.” Jesus issued the command to love one another and A Hero For Heather lives out that instruction.
